How to protect your employees during the Covid-19 pandemic
The rise of the Covid-19 virus means that employers must now worry about how they can stay in business while protecting the lives of their employees. Here are some steps that you can take to protect yourself during these uncertain times.
Enforce social distancing rules. The Ministry of Health advises that persons should stand 6 feet apart. If your office space is very small, look into remote working and or staff rotation.
Make cleanliness a top priority. The Ministry of Health advises that you should: Routinely clean all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace, such as workstations, countertops, and doorknobs. Use the cleaning agents that are approved for use in these areas and follow the directions on the label.
Provide disposable wipes so that commonly used items and surfaces can be wiped down by employees before each use.
Ensure that office restrooms are constantly stocked with enough soap and paper towels. Put hand sanitizer dispensers in prominent places around the workplace. Make sure these dispensers are regularly refilled with alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

4. Switch to online ordering, payments and curbside pick up etc. to minimize crowding.
5. Remind employees that they should not report to work if they exhibit flu like symptoms.
